Talk it out

When facing fear, ones greatest asset is knowledge of Higher Self. This awareness gives you all the strength & bravery you need to consciously face those fears. Healing from these self imposed prisons begins when one starts asking oneself questions. Basic investigation begins with ‘Who, What, Where, When, Why, How.” Ask yourself, “who hurt me?” “what did they do to hurt me? Where was their mind when they hurt me? When did this hurt become my problem? Why did they do what they did? & How can I forgive?

In the example of John; we can see that if he took the time to answer these questions for himself, he would be in a different mindset today.

  • “Who hurt John?” His parents.
  • “What hurt John? They were more involved & interested in Johns older sibling because the older sibling played sports, so john always felt left out, uncomfortable & unappreciated for being who he was.
  • “Where were they coming from?” Johns parents were raised athletic, all of his grandparents played sports. Believing that a good future is to be had through the pursuit of sports
  • “When did it become Johns Problem?” When he left home to go to college, Johns past experience weighed on his mind heavily when he wasn’t focused on his schooling & social life.
  • “Why did they do it?” Johns parents felt as if they were being good parents by creating a “tough love” situation. They wanted to see John succeed in the ways that they knew were possible in this life.
  • “How can I forgive Them?” John can forgive them by understanding that his parents only did what they knew.

Side Note

I know this is Cheesy. I am well aware. Try your hardest not to write it off as nonsense, without actually diving into yourself a little. People will bastardize sayings like “The best things in life are free.”  “Early to bed and early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy, and wise.” & “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” We accept them, as such, without asking ourselves whether or not the people making these claims have ever once actually given it a try. A person consumed by materialism would never know of the free things in life. A person addicted to intake would never know of a healthy sleep schedule. A person distracted by personal image & status would never take the time to slow down and smell the flowers.

This is a Mantra that we have been using daily

to remind ourselves of this need to grow & be free

Everyday,

In Every Way,

I am Getting

Better & Better

Write this down on a piece of paper or dry erase marker it on your mirror. Place it someplace you look everyday. When you see it, say the mantra out loud 10 times. This is a way to speak the reality you want into existence. These simple words will solidify the connection between you and your Higher Self. Making this mantra a habit is an excellent way to keep the line of communication open.
