What is “Flow”?

The term “Flow” was actually coined by a psychologist named “Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi” (Me-High Chick-Sent-Me-High) who UNKNOWINGLY studied the state of Flow for 25 years before he began writing his book titled “Flow”. However, studies that were unknowingly conducted on the Flow state go back 100 YEARS.

“Flow” is what Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi calls the psychological state of “optimal experience”. However, we (that is, most scientists) believe that psychology is rooted in physical interactions that happen in your brain. These physical interactions are electrical and chemical. Thus, “Flow”, according to most scientists, is a physical brain state.

Note (how Flow got its name): Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi was actually trying to find out what makes people truly happy when he “discovered” this phenomenon. After all the people he interviewed, and all the data he collected, he came across certain patterns, in particular, a lot of folks who seemed to be incredibly happy described some experiences that happened in their day as “Flowing”.
