Your body is like a hybrid car, it can run off of both glucose (sugar) and fat (ketones). It should be obvious what problems come from eating too much sugar, diabetes and bad teeth being the most apparent. However, what’s less apparent is the dangers of running off of straight carbohydrates, especially processed ones. Carbohydrates are converted to sugar in the body, and, to keep things simply, this is simply not THE best way to attain energy.

If you eliminate sugar and carbohydrates AND raise the level of fat that you’re taking in, such that you have a low carb, high fat diet, then your body will move into what’s called a “fat adapted” state. It will primarily use ketones, instead of sugar to power itself. There are loads of benefits to doing this, my favorites are lack of hangriness (anger caused by hunger), and anti-inflammatory benefits. That was only two benefits, there are much more so I’d advise you to look into yourself!  However, PropDanceCulture will have more advanced courses on how you can play with your nutrition such that you can achieve Flow more easily.
