What is Holistic Movement?



Lets take both words one by one,

Define: Holistic – characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole.

Define: Movement – an act of changing physical location or position; a change or development in something.

So, What is Holistic Movement? Holistic Movement is the Development of The Whole Self.

 

Holistic Movement is not a new thing. The concept has been around since the dawn of modern man. The Hindus call it “Yoga,” The Chinese call it “Tai Chi.” It is known as “Wyoma” in certain parts of Africa, Which translates to “Soul Companion”. There is no known name for the dances performed  in Mayan culture, other than names of animals like ‘Armadillo’ & ‘Weasel.’ Cultures that date back as far as the written word, that are said to be unintelligent, were all able to successfully cure Mental Illness in a person. Something that can not be said about the Western Medical System.
